The heart is known as the most critical organs in the human body. It is an important part of the circulatory system along with the blood arteries and blood. As the most fundamental task of the heart is the pumping of oxygen-rich blood, nutrients, and supplements in the blood vessels to different parts of the human body, it is essential to keep it healthy and sound. However, since the human body is very touchy and vulnerable to many disorders and illness, the heart can also be damaged because of several reasons. Heart disease is the most common cause of deaths in many countries.

Heart Disease

When the heart does not perform its vital tasks properly and healthy, it is an extremely dangerous situation and many heart diseases are unfortunately threatening and dangerous. Heart disease is the common terminology for all disorders and infections that may influence the heart and blood vessels, such as heart attack, stroke, coronary artery infections, and congenital or present at birth heart defects.

Effects of Heart Disease on Body Working

Heart DiseaseThe circulatory system which is also known as the cardiovascular system has the key role to transport the body cells and tissues of our body with oxygen and nutrients, and therefore, the perfect functioning circulatory system is most important for the survival. When any heart disease or any circulatory system malfunction occurs, it can cause the problems with the body metabolism functionality. The most common heart disease is coronary artery disease which is medically called arteriosclerosis, and it is a specific condition when the plaque forms in the walls of the arteries.

This plaque results in making the blood vessels narrow and therefore the blood flow may be blocked. Due to that, the blood supply is disturbed and the blood cannot reach the brain as fast as it should, and a stroke may happen. On the other side, the heart attack can also occur if the blood vessels in the heart are too narrowed by the formation of plaque in the vessels.

 Kidney Problems

Kidneys can also be defected by the heart diseases. When the blood vessels to kidneys are blocked due to any disorder, it can trigger hypertension and to the kidney failure. Recent readings have revealed that failure of the heart is the basic risk for the kidney infection. When the heart can not pump the blood more effectively, it is blocked with blood cells, resulting in pressure to increase in the main artery attached to the kidney and producing the blockage of blood in kidney vessels, too. The kidneys go through the less supply of oxygen-rich blood cells.

 PVD

If blockage of blood vessels happens in the arms or legs, it is known as peripheral vascular disease (PVD). It may disturb the capacity to move your arms and legs, which in return, can be the cause of disability.

Stroke

When blood clots congest in the blood veins, a heart stroke can occur because blood flow is cut off and brain can not get the required amount of blood. Stroke symptoms include:

  • Numbness on any side of your body
  • confusion in decisions
  • trouble speaking
  • loss of focus or coordination

There may be many other effects of heart diseases on the human body that can disturb your life. One should never ignore these signs.

  1. Pulmonary embolism
  2. Cardiac arrest
  3. Peripheral artery disease
  4. Atrial fibrillation
  5. Angina
  6. Gender-specific symptoms
  7. Short-term complications
  8. Long-term outlook and potential complications
